A VW Up! Tyre Check at Pellon Tyres – Choosing Falken Ziex ZE320 Tyres in Halifax

Saturday mornings can be lively at Pellon Tyre and Autocentre, and after the earlier BMW job, the next customer arriving in the yard was the owner of a small but very popular car – a Volkswagen Up!.

The driver had called in for one of our free tyre checks, something we encourage motorists to do regularly. Tyres are often forgotten about until they become a problem, and a quick inspection can sometimes prevent trouble later on.

When we checked the tyres on this particular VW Up!, it was clear they had done plenty of miles. The tread was well worn and getting close to the legal limit, so we advised the customer that it would be wise to replace all four tyres for safety.

After discussing a few different tyre options and price ranges, the owner decided to go for a set of Falken Ziex ZE320 tyres, which are an excellent choice for a car like the VW Up!.

The Volkswagen Up! – A Small Car That Became a Big Success

The Volkswagen Up! was first introduced in 2011 and quickly gained popularity across Europe. It was designed as a compact city car, but despite its small size, it offers surprising practicality.

Around Halifax and the Calderdale area we see quite a few VW Up! models coming into the garage for tyres and servicing. They are especially popular with:

  • younger drivers
  • commuters
  • people wanting an economical second car.

One reason for the Up!’s popularity is its simplicity and reliability. Volkswagen designed the car to be easy to drive, economical to run, and affordable to maintain.

With fuel prices always on motorists’ minds, a small car like the Up! can be very attractive. Many models achieve excellent fuel economy, which is ideal for drivers travelling between towns such as Halifax, Brighouse, Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge.

Ideal for Yorkshire Roads: VW Upi for 4 Falken ZE320 Tyres

Although the VW Up! is a small car, it is actually very well suited to the roads we have here in West Yorkshire.

Anyone who drives around Calderdale will know that the area is full of steep hills, narrow lanes, and twisting roads. From the climb up towards Queensbury to the winding routes across the Pennines, driving conditions can change quickly.

Cars like the Volkswagen Up! are:

  • light and nimble
  • easy to park in busy town centres
  • economical for everyday journeys.

But just like any vehicle, they still depend heavily on good tyres to stay safe.

Why Tyre Choice Matters: VW Upi for 4 Falken ZE320 Tyres

Small cars often run on relatively narrow tyres, but that doesn’t mean they can be ignored.

Tyres affect several important aspects of driving:

  • braking distance
  • wet weather grip
  • steering control
  • fuel efficiency.

When tyres become worn, especially in the wet conditions we often experience here in West Yorkshire, braking distances increase and the risk of aquaplaning becomes greater.

That’s why we always recommend replacing tyres before they become dangerously worn.

Falken Tyres – A Brand That Has Grown in Popularity

The tyres chosen for the VW Up! were from Falken, a brand that has become increasingly popular with our customers at Pellon Tyres.

Falken is a Japanese tyre manufacturer and part of the Sumitomo Rubber Industries group, one of the largest tyre producers in the world.

Although Falken started in motorsport, the company has successfully transferred that technology into tyres for everyday road cars.

Here in the Halifax area we have found Falken tyres to be a very reliable choice, offering an excellent balance between price and performance.

The Falken Ziex ZE320: VW Upi for 4 Falken ZE320 Tyres

The particular tyre fitted to the VW Up! was the Falken Ziex ZE320, a modern tyre designed for small and medium-sized passenger cars.

Some of its key features include:

  • excellent wet grip
  • good fuel efficiency
  • quiet running
  • strong tread life.

For drivers looking for a quality tyre without paying premium prices, the Falken Ziex range has proved extremely popular.

Many customers who have tried Falken tyres for the first time often return for them again when the next replacement is needed.

Falken Tyres in West Yorkshire

In recent years we have seen a steady rise in the number of drivers choosing Falken tyres throughout Halifax and Calderdale.

This is partly because motorists today are looking for tyres that offer good value but still perform well in all weather conditions.

With the mixture of town driving, country lanes and motorway journeys that many local drivers experience, tyres need to be versatile.

Falken tyres cope well with:

  • wet roads
  • uneven surfaces
  • long motorway journeys.

That makes them well suited to the type of driving many people do in West Yorkshire.

The Importance of Free Tyre Checks: VW Upi for 4 Falken ZE320 Tyres

The VW Up! owner who visited us on Saturday did exactly the right thing by calling in for a free tyre inspection.

It only takes a few minutes to check tyre tread, pressure and condition, but it can reveal issues that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Tyres should ideally be checked:

  • once a month
  • before long journeys
  • whenever the car feels different to drive.

Our team at Pellon Tyre and Autocentre is always happy to carry out these checks, and there is never any obligation.

Another Job Completed

Once the customer had decided on the Falken tyres, the car was taken into the workshop and the new tyres fitted and balanced.

Before long the VW Up! was ready to head back out onto the roads of Halifax with a fresh set of tyres and improved safety.

For us, it was another satisfying job completed during a busy Saturday morning.

Supporting Local Drivers in Halifax

At Pellon Tyres we see vehicles of all types every day, from small city cars like the Volkswagen Up! to large SUVs and vans.

But the message is always the same:

Good tyres are essential for safe driving.

With the mix of hills, rain and winding roads that characterise the Calderdale area, keeping tyres in good condition is particularly important.

Whether it’s a quick tyre check or a full replacement, we are always happy to help keep local drivers safe on the road.

BMW 118i Handling Problem in Halifax – The Hidden Danger of a Damaged Tyre Bead

Earlier this week we had a BMW 118i arrive at Pellon Tyres in Halifax with a rather worrying complaint. The owner explained that the car didn’t feel right on the road. It wasn’t a dramatic problem, but the steering felt unsettled, and the car just didn’t seem to handle the way a BMW normally should.

Anyone who has driven a BMW will know they are usually very precise cars. The 1 Series, including the 118i model, has always been popular in the UK because of its sporty feel and sharp handling. So when one of these cars starts to feel vague or unstable, it’s usually a sign that something isn’t quite right.

A Careful Inspection: BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage

When a customer reports handling problems, we never jump to conclusions. There are quite a few things that can cause a car to feel unstable on the road, including:

So we began by carefully checking the steering and suspension components. These modern BMWs have fairly sophisticated suspension setups, and worn parts can sometimes cause odd handling behaviour.

After spending a good amount of time inspecting everything, we eventually traced the problem to something much simpler but equally important — a damaged front tyre.

BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage
BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage

The Culprit – Damage Around the Tyre Bead

On closer inspection, the tyre showed bead wire damage, with some of the wires actually protruding through the bead area of the tyre.

For those not familiar with tyre construction, the bead is the part of the tyre that seals tightly against the wheel rim. Inside the bead are strong steel wires which help the tyre stay firmly seated on the wheel.

When those wires become exposed or damaged, the tyre is no longer safe. In this case, the damage meant the tyre could no longer sit correctly on the rim, which can cause the car to feel unstable or vague when driving.

The tyre clearly needed replacing.

Why Tyre Beads Get Damaged: BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage

This type of problem isn’t especially common, but it does happen. There are several reasons why a tyre bead might become damaged in this way.

One of the most common causes is impact damage. Around Halifax and the wider Calderdale area we see plenty of potholes, especially after winter. If a tyre hits a pothole or kerb hard enough, it can weaken the bead area.

Another cause can be running a tyre with very low pressure. When a tyre loses pressure, the sidewalls flex more than they should, and this can put extra strain on the bead.

Sometimes bead damage can also occur during previous tyre fitting, although this is less common when tyres are fitted correctly with modern equipment.

Whatever the cause, once bead wires start to protrude, the tyre must be replaced. It simply isn’t safe to continue driving on it.

BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage
Wire exposed in bead area of the BMW tyre

A Simple Fix – And a Happy Customer

After explaining the issue to the owner, we replaced the damaged tyre with a 255/50R19 Falken quality replacement and checked the remaining tyres while we were at it.

The customer then took the BMW 118i out for a short road test. When he returned a few minutes later, he was smiling and reported that the car felt completely normal again.

That’s always satisfying to hear. Sometimes the smallest faults can make a car feel quite unpleasant to drive, and it’s good to track them down properly.

Why Tyre Checks Are Important

Tyres are often overlooked when drivers experience handling problems. People naturally assume something complicated must be wrong with the suspension or steering, but tyres are the only part of the car actually touching the road.

Even a small defect can have a noticeable effect on how a vehicle drives.

That’s why at Pellon Tyres in Halifax we always carry out careful inspections rather than guessing. Whether it’s a BMW, a family hatchback, or a van used for work around Calderdale, tyres play a crucial role in safety and performance.

Final Thoughts: BMW 118i Tyre bead Damage

The BMW 118i is a well-engineered car and normally handles beautifully. When one starts to feel unstable, it’s worth getting it checked properly before the problem worsens.

In this case, a damaged tyre bead was the cause, and once replaced, the car was back to driving exactly as it should.

If you ever feel your car isn’t handling quite right, especially on the winding roads around Halifax and the Pennines, it’s always worth popping in for a quick check.

Sometimes the solution is simpler than you might think.

As a result, Falken Tyres is now the fifth-largest tyre producer in the world. Falken Tyre offers a wide variety of tyres and uses cutting-edge technology from the competitive world of professional motorsports to make sure all of their tyres are in advance of current worldwide trends.

The Falken Tyre brand stands out from more established tyre manufacturers thanks to its involvement in motorsports and high-intensity events like the Red Bull Air Race. Falken Tyre is a youthful, innovative, and enthusiastic company.

Falken Winter Tyres-Scotland a Winter tyres Haven-Falken Winter Tyres 2025 Update

It is not rocket science to know that the further north we go in the British Isles, the colder it gets. Winters have become second nature to people living in Scotland, and this is the time of year that the Scots get ready for the inclement weather that will be heading their way. I have visited this beautiful country in all the seasons of the year, and you can guarantee that if you travel in late autumn through early spring, you will encounter snow.

Scotland has recently enjoyed very good snowfalls in its mountain ranges.

You must visit their website, especially the one I am most familiar with, the “Cairngorms,” to appreciate the winter wonderland and great skiing conditions that you can enjoy there.

Apart from all your skiing equipment, there is one thing you must not forget. Before travelling to Scotland in the winter, you should install Falken winter tyres on your vehicle. Or you should have a set fitted if you live in Scotland. Even if you are visiting the lower mountain ranges of Scotland, you are advised to buy a set of skis. You could be caught out at any time during the colder weather after the late autumn frosts.

Now, let’s talk about keeping your motor running smoothly – Falken Winter Tyres 2025 Update

especially when the frost starts biting. First up, give your car battery a once-over. Pop into any decent car battery service place – they’ll usually do a quick, free check for you, no fuss. With today’s cars packed with electronics like air conditioning and fancy management systems, a robust battery is more crucial than ever.

But here’s the real game changer – Falken Winter Tyres. You know how it is around here; even a bit of rain can turn the roads slippery, never mind the snow. If your tyres are as bald as a coot, you’re asking for trouble. These Falken beauties are a must, especially for the bigger cars and SUVs. Think BMWs, Mercedes, the works.

Winter tyres are now becoming a necessity for Northern England

Motorists living in Northern England are now starting to become familiar with the same climate problems that they experience in Scotland. Anyone can now get caught out in a snowstorm during late autumn and the whole of winter.

Most of Northern England is in hilly districts, from the Pennines and peaks of Derbyshire to the North Yorkshire moors and the mountains of the Lake District. This means that motorists in these areas require better grip on their cars. Car owners need at least a good normal summer tread pattern, but what they really need is one with a lot of tread. However, this won’t help when it starts to snow, and if you don’t have Falken Winter Tyres on your car, you’ll get stuck even in flat areas.

Winter Tyres will last for about three winters – Falken Winter Tyres 2025 Update

Of course, as long as you switch back to your summer tyres in the spring. Naturally, this service is carried out by many local tyre companies, such as Pellon Tyre Centre in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Consequently, when you buy your winter boots, they will store them for you and refit the summer ones. Of course, once the threat of further bad weather has passed. Nonetheless, the first time you need them fitted, they are free. followed by a small charge for refitting the following spring.

Nevertheless, this has been a large success in the past three years. Moreover, we are looking forward to seeing our repeat business in the years to come. Many of our previous customers tell us about getting stuck in the snow. They were able to avoid trouble because they had chosen the correct product for their vehicle.

Falken Winter Tyres: when the snow arrives in 2024

So, in the past, it would have been simple to just call the boss and take the day off. correspondingly, or pretend to be ill. But now, in these difficult economic times, when jobs are scarce, you must get to work. Whatever the weather has in store for us,.

It is now a truth that we begin work earlier as well. As a result, they have shorter lunch breaks. In reality, I arrive at work one hour earlier. In addition, I’ll take a ten-minute pause to eat my sandwich. This is due to the fact that none of us want to miss any business. As a result, in these tough times, this also rubs off on our workers.

They, too, want to arrive at work on time. People nowadays do not wish to take sick days. because of the stress we are all under. As a result, in order to keep our businesses functioning, especially in the auto industry, we must ensure that they are not the ones who become trapped in inclement weather. As a result, you may be late or maybe miss work entirely.

Check your car battery and Falken Winter tyres.

True, the first thing to do when winter hits is to check your car’s battery. Any reputable car battery service shop will perform a complimentary battery and alternator test. Trustworthy people run the majority of businesses. As a result, if the battery is fine, they will notify you.

As a result, the entire test only takes around five minutes. As a result, an appointment is frequently not necessary. A free test will be performed so that you may just drop in at lunchtime (if you have one).

This is more significant than it was previously. because a 12-volt battery (vehicle battery) has a lot more electrics to contend with. especially on newer vehicles as opposed to older vehicles. Such amenities include air conditioning, automatic windows, and onboard electronic management systems. As a result, the battery has a lot more to deal with.

Winter Tyres Falken

The second most critical thing is to make sure your car has proper winter tyres. If your car has bald tyres, braking distances (stopping distances) are dramatically increased. Even on rainy days outside. They are completely useless in snowy situations. Nonetheless, individuals are driving around with bald tyres on their vehicles. a threat to everyone. Winter tyres: For the best results, use winter tyres.

Winter tyres are also required for SUVs and larger vehicles.

We have fitted thousands of these winter tyres in Halifax alone over the last four years. As a result, customers who have used them are now spreading the word. As a result, they told their friends and neighbours about the benefits of this fantastic product.

They are also available for high-end vehicles like BMWs and Mercedes. Winter tyres are required for all vehicles, including SUVs and people carriers, so invest in them for your own and your family’s safety.

Taking time off work due to illness or injury is simply not an option in these uncertain times, is it? No matter the weather (or, more commonly, the snow and ice), we must all persevere in order to keep our jobs.

Everyone is getting a head start and taking shorter lunch breaks.

I typically sneak in a ten-minute snack while waiting for the rest of Halifax to wake up, generally around one hour beforehand. Surely we would not want to miss out on any potential revenue? We managers aren’t the only ones taking a hit; our employees are anxious to avoid tardiness and the dreaded sick day as much as we are.

Keeping your vehicle in top shape is essential

but it becomes much more important when the frost begins to bite. Check the condition of your car battery first. Just take your vehicle to any reputable auto battery repair shop, and they will gladly do a fast and free inspection. These days, a strong battery is more important than ever because modern cars are loaded with technology like air conditioning and complex control systems.

Falken winter tyres, though, are the true revolutionary factor.

The roads here are notoriously treacherous in all weather, so you should probably just ignore the snow. Tyres that are completely flat are a certain recipe for disaster. These stunning Falken wheels are an absolute necessity, particularly for larger vehicles and SUVs. Picture luxury vehicles like BMWs and Mercedes, and so on.

Falken winter tyres have been steadily trickling onto Halifax’s streets for the last many years. The comments have been absolutely astounding; word is getting around like a chippy on a Friday! Consider purchasing a set to ensure your protection and the safety of your loved ones. Remember, we’re fighting not only for the weather but also for the survival of our livelihoods.

Falken Tyres for a VW Golf – A Cracking Deal for a Halifax Driver

Yesterday at Pellon Tyres, we welcomed a customer who popped in looking for a good deal on a decent set of tyres for his VW Golf. It was one of those crisp Yorkshire mornings, the kind where you can smell winter slowly creeping in, and folk start realising it’s time to get their motors sorted before the real cold snap arrives. As soon as he mentioned the Golf, we knew exactly what to recommend — a fresh set of Falken tyres.

Now, the VW Golf is a familiar sight on roads right across Halifax. Ever since the first generation rolled into the UK back in the mid-70s, it’s been one of those cars people keep coming back to. Solid, well-built and just good at everything you ask of it. I can remember seeing early Golfs parked around the town centre when I first started the business in the late 80s — small, smart hatchbacks with drivers who loved them to bits. Over the years, they’ve become part of the local landscape, from the streets of Pellon to King Cross and right over to Northowram.

Our customer’s Golf was a modern one, tidy as anything, and clearly looked after. After a quick look round and a chat, we recommended Falken ZE310 Ecorun tyres, one of our personal favourites for Golfs. Falken have come a long way in the tyre world, and more people in Halifax are starting to realise just how good they are.

A Bit of Falken History: vw-golf-falken-tyres

Falken started life in Japan in the early 1980s, aiming to produce high-performance tyres without the eye-watering price tags of some of the bigger names. The brand quickly gained popularity with motorsport fans, especially in drifting and endurance racing. That racing heritage matters because all the clever rubber compounds and tread designs eventually make their way into the road tyres we fit on everyday cars.

Here at Pellon Tyres, we’ve been fitting Falkens for years. We like them because they suit Yorkshire roads: plenty of wet grip for our rainy climate, strong performance on rougher rural roads, and good longevity so customers get value for money. They’re one of those “hidden gem” brands—once people try them, they usually stick with them.

Alignment Included — Because It Matters: vw-golf-falken-tyres

After fitting the new Falkens, Dale popped the Golf on the alignment ramp. There’s nowt worse than fitting brand-new tyres and watching them wear out unevenly because the tracking’s out. Halifax roads, with all their potholes and raised drains, can easily knock a car’s alignment out of line. A quick adjustment now saves a customer coming back with bald edges in a few months.

The difference afterwards was spot-on. The steering sat straight, the handling was sharper, and the new tyres sat perfectly flat on the tarmac. The customer noticed it straight away when he pulled away — always a nice moment.

Yesterday at Pellon Tyre and Autocentre here in good old Halifax, we had a rather smart-looking BMW electric car roll into the workshop. You could tell straight away it wasn’t your run-of-the-mill motor – sleek lines, whisper-quiet drive, and that instant pull you only get from an electric BMW.

The owner wanted two new tyres fitted, and he knew exactly what he wanted. Off came the old Pirelli P Zero tyres, and on went a pair of Falken Azenis FK520s in size 283/30×21 – a proper bit of kit for a performance EV like this one. Once the tyres were fitted, we gave the car a full four-wheel alignment to make sure everything was spot on. After all, there’s no point fitting quality tyres if your wheels aren’t properly lined up – it saves wear and tear and helps keep your handling razor sharp.

The Rise of BMW Electric Cars in the UK: Falken Tyres-BMW-Halifax

BMW were one of the early birds when it came to electric motoring. Remember the quirky little BMW i3 that first hit UK roads back in 2013? It might’ve looked a bit odd to some, but it turned heads and opened the door for BMW’s electric future. Built with a lightweight carbon fibre frame and powered by a punchy electric motor, the i3 showed drivers that eco-friendly could still be fun.

Then came the BMW i8, a proper futuristic hybrid sports car that looked like it had come straight out of a sci-fi film. The i8 proved that electric performance wasn’t just about being green – it was about style, speed, and technology too.

Fast forward to today, and you’ve got the likes of the BMW i4, iX3, and iX – stunning machines combining luxury and zero-emission power. It’s fair to say BMW has firmly planted itself as one of the leading names in electric motoring here in the UK.

And with Halifax drivers now switching to EVs in bigger numbers, we’re seeing more and more electric cars come through our doors – from small city cars to big premium SUVs.

Falken Tyres-BMW-Halifax

Falken Tyres – A Smart Choice for Electric Performance: Falken Tyres-BMW-Halifax

The owner’s decision to go with Falken Azenis FK520 tyres was a clever one. Falken have really upped their game in recent years, offering top-notch performance and handling at a sensible price.

The FK520 range, in particular, is designed for high-performance vehicles, with excellent grip and stability – perfect for the instant torque that electric cars deliver. Falken’s advanced compound technology means they’re quiet, efficient, and durable, which makes them a great match for electric vehicles that need strong but low-resistance tyres.

It’s no wonder we often recommend Falken tyres to our customers at Pellon Tyres – whether it’s for a sporty BMW, a family SUV, or a city runabout, there’s usually a Falken tyre that fits the bill perfectly.

Stay Safe This Winter with Falken Winter Tyres from Pellon Tyres

Here in Halifax, we know all too well what winter can throw at us. Our town sits high in the Pennines, and when the weather turns, it really turns. The hills and valleys around Calderdale can be a right challenge when the snow comes down or when the roads turn into rivers during a winter storm. That’s why here at Pellon Tyres, we always recommend being prepared – and that means fitting the right tyres for the season.

We are proud to be a Falken key dealer for the Halifax area, which means we can offer you the full range of Falken winter tyres at competitive prices, fitted by a team you know and trust.

Why Choose Falken Winter Tyres?

Falken has been making high-quality tyres for decades, with a reputation for producing performance tyres that work in all conditions. Their Eurowinter range is designed specifically for European winter conditions – exactly what we get here in Yorkshire – with cold, wet mornings, icy roads, and the occasional heavy snowfall.

Here are six good reasons to fit Falken Winter Tyres:

  • Better grip on snow and ice —the special tread design gives you extra traction when roads get slippy. Shorter braking distances —stopping faster in cold and wet conditions keeps you and others safer. Improved cold weather performance – Falken’s rubber stays soft and grippy below 7°C.Enhanced safety for you and others – more control over corners and hills means fewer scary moments. You have increased confidence behind the wheel—you can drive without that white-knuckle feeling on frosty mornings.

  • Less wear on your summer tyres – keep them fresh for spring and summer by swapping them out in winter.

  • Halifax’s Winter Roads

If you live around Halifax, you’ll know that our roads can be tricky in bad weather. Places like Boothtown, Mixenden, and Southowram get particularly icy on steep climbs, while the roads down in the valleys – Elland or Sowerby Bridge – can suffer from flooding when storms hit.

We’ve seen plenty of customers get caught out with summer tyres, sliding about or getting stuck in snow. A good set of winter tyres, like Falken’s, really can be the difference between getting home safely or spending the night waiting for a recovery truck.

Falken Safety Winter Tyres – Keeping Halifax Drivers Safe This Winter

It might sound daft to be writing about winter tyres in the middle of August, but if you know me, you’ll know I’ve been doing this for years. It’s just how I’m wired.

Maybe it’s those darker mornings creeping in —I’m always up early with the dogs at 5am, and lately, it’s still pitch black. That’s usually the first sign for me that winter’s on its way. So it’s time to start thinking about log deliveries, winter prep, and, of course, winter tyres.

At Pellon Tyres in Halifax, we always make sure we’re stocked up early, and this year we’re continuing to recommend Falken Winter Tyres – a quality brand that’s really earned our trust over the years.

❄️ Why Fit Winter Tyres in the UK?

People often assume winter tyres are only needed in places like Finland or Canada – where snow is pretty much guaranteed. But actually, the UK’s unpredictable weather makes things more dangerous. One minute it’s mild and rainy; the next we’re hit with snow, ice, or even sleet during the morning school run.

The problem is we never seem prepared for it. Every winter, drivers try tackling icy roads with worn-out summer tyres – and end up stuck, sliding, or worse.

Here’s where Falken winter tyres shine. Unlike summer or even all-season tyres, winter tyres are made from a special silica-rich rubber compound that stays soft and grippy in cold weather – especially once the temperature drops below 7°C.

🚗 How Winter Tyres Work Falken Safety Winter Tyres

What makes winter tyres different?

  • They’re designed with thousands of small cuts called sipes that help grip icy or snowy roads.
  • The tread pattern is deeper and more aggressive, helping to channel away slush and prevent hydroplaning.
  • The compound stays flexible in the cold, improving traction and braking performance.

Multiple independent tests (including ones from Tyre Reviews and Auto Express) have shown that winter tyres can reduce stopping distances by several car lengths in snowy or icy conditions.

We’ve had brilliant feedback from our customers here in Halifax who’ve used Falkens in all sorts of winter conditions – from wet Pennine back roads to snow-covered drives up in Queensbury.

In places like British Columbia, winter tyres are legally required during certain months. And there’s good reason – according to surveys, cars fitted with winter tyres have significantly fewer accidents. In fact, in Prince Edward Island, only 6% of accidents involved cars fitted with winter tyres.

Even here in the UK, laws may not yet require them – but the safety benefits are undeniable. In my opinion, they should at least be recommended more strongly, especially for rural drivers or those with long commutes.

Every year, we hear from returning customers who say the same thing:
“I wouldn’t go through another winter without them.”

They tell us how they felt more confident braking, climbing hills, and staying in control when others were slipping around.

With a set of Falken winters on your car, you’re not only improving safety for yourself but also for your family, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.
