Following the correct service schedule helps protect the engine and other important components, reduces the risk of breakdowns and may prevent minor problems from becoming expensive repairs. Free courtesy cars are available by prior arrangement, subject to availability and driver eligibility. Please ask for one when booking your vehicle and bring a valid driving licence. Courtesy cars are provided for local use while your vehicle is being worked on at Pellon.
Levels of Servicing
- Oil and filter service – replacement engine oil and oil filter. If the dashboard specifically shows an oil inspection reminder, we can reset that reminder. This is not the same as resetting the vehicle’s full service reminder.
- Silver service – our interim service.
- Gold service – our full service.
- Platinum service – our full service together with an MOT test.
Modern vehicles require different grades and quantities of oil, as well as different filters and parts. Because of this, we quote every service individually rather than using one standard price. Please call Pellon on 01422 362030 with your vehicle registration, and we will confirm the correct service and price for your vehicle.
Regular Checks Save Money
Your car needs regular checks to help prevent avoidable breakdowns and expensive repairs.
Servicing — Follow the manufacturer’s recommended servicing schedule for your vehicle’s age, mileage and use. Regular servicing helps keep the vehicle safe, dependable and efficient.
Engine oil — Check the oil level regularly and use the correct grade and specification for your engine. Oil and filters should be changed at the intervals recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
Fluid levels — Coolant, brake fluid, screenwash and other essential fluids should be checked regularly. If you are unsure, the Pellon team will be happy to help.
Tyres — Check tyre pressures and tread depth, and look for cracking, cuts, bulges or uneven wear. Ask us to inspect them if anything concerns you.
Lights and wipers — Check that all lights work correctly and that the wipers clear the windscreen without smearing.
Brakes — Brakes should be inspected regularly. If we find worn or damaged components, we will explain what is required and obtain your permission before carrying out any additional work.

We offer a free visual check of the accessible brake components and will advise you if anything appears worn, damaged or requires further investigation. A visual check does not include dismantling parts and cannot assess components that are not visible.
