A lady customer called in with her Peugeot 206 1.4 with a couple of problems

So her first problem was that the car was difficult to start in the cold. Consequently, the battery was turning the engine over, but the engine would not fire up !

Also, when she was driving along, the engine felt to be juddering. This culminated with a warning light that had come on in the dashboard.

The customer left the car with us, and we pulled the car into the garage for  examination.

The first job was to plug the car into our Snap-On engine code reader. So we soon found that the code that came up was a KFU engine code. Which is related to the Camshaft Sensor Peugeot 206. The camshaft sensor is located on the rear right-hand side of the engine. Of course, it is at the side of the air box and is difficult to spot, as you can see in one of the pictures.

So, clearing the fault codes in the car’s computer. Of course, this did the trick, and the car was running smoothly and back to normal! a job well done.

      Hi Neil this was one of my early posts, i had a look at the post, and you were correct in your comments. I do try to keep them simple,they are meant to let our customers know that we do different kinds of work. We are a very busy garage without having to advertise. so it looks like our web presence is working.I intend going over all my old stuff and correcting them as i go along. I am not a technical person and indeed was not a very good mechanic in my younger days.So i go by the guidance of my staff tell me about a job to write about,trying to keep it simple for my customers. I was a little annoyed at your comments originally but when i looked at the post then i knew that you were correct !
