All the major tyre companies across the Globe are looking for new ways of making their products more environmentally friendly. Goodyear tyres are using soybean oil to try and reduce the amount of carbon oil used and is said to improve the quality of the rubber mix. We all know that one day we will run out of oil and i guess that these companies will have to start somewhere.Toyo tyres are said to be using ground up walnut shells to improve their winter tyre products and give better grip in snow and ice, in my opinion i think they are nuts ? but hey they have to try everything new.
