There’s probably nothing wrong with the normal tyres on your 4×4 vehicle? Try Try Different General 4×4 Tyres
Try Different General 4×4 Tyres-The tyre manufacturers have worked closely with the vehicle manufacturer to ensure that the best level of performance and comfort can be achieved in the tyres that they provide.
Most motorist spends most of their time on the normal tarmac roads, the tyres fitted to a vehicle at the factory are also made to provide a certain amount of off-road capability, but the main priorities will be for stability at speed, good steering control and very low noise on the road.
Many off-road 4×4 tyres will perform very well on the normal tarmac roads, but they have a very heavy tread and can be much noisier and the ride can be bumpier and less comfortable. This varies according to the specific 4×4 tyre and the patterns used in the 4×4 tyres tread design.
So these good road tyres are not the correct product for the 4×4 tyres drivers who have more individual needs and bigger aspirations. This includes the owners of ultra-high-performance vehicles who require the highest grip possible or 4×4 owners that need to venture off the road for more fun ?
Whether you are going off road to enjoy wide open spaces, across lanes and streams or scrambling across the specific terrain, for work or sport, correct tyre selection becomes very important and a whole host of new things has to be considered. Remember that road surfaces are tarmac. Off-road surfaces can be hugely different, from muddy fields, peat bogs to rocky ridges, they all offer a more challenging experience if you fit the correct 4×4 tyres on your vehicle.
MAKE SURE YOU GET the RIGHT 4×4 tyres
Choosing the incorrectly sized tyre with a less aggressive tread pattern can mean danger as well as being costly to your pocket and will reduce your tyre performance. For example fitting a mud terrain 4×4 tyre to your vehicle will give excellent levels of grip in the extreme “off road” conditions, but will cause a huge increase in your braking distances and will reduce steering responsiveness. An all round bad experience for you and your vehicle.
You may not always be able to fit a more aggressive tyre in your size it is not always possible to fit the most appropriate tyre for your needs by using the original tyre size recommended for the vehicle. You can buy a wheel and tyre package that fit you 4×4 there are certain conversions for 4×4 vehicles that our experienced 4×4 adviser’s can advise you on.
