EGR valve cleaning

The EGR valve is a great benefit to reducing pollution and increasing engine efficiency. Thus ,the EGR valve has been in use in the USA since the 1960,s. However, the valve can have its problems? As a result, the EGR Valve can get clogged up. When this happens the engine looses power. Of course, this will manifest itself as a bad idling engine or a valve knocking.

If this occurs the valve will need cleaning using some sort of a proprietary cleaner, or by your local garage.

. However, whenever the EGR valve is clogged or not working as it should, engine performance can go down. So anytime you experience rough idling or valve knock, you should have the valve inspected.
