Bosch batteries Expects EVs To Achieve 180 Miles Of Range “Minimum” By 2020 CleanTechnica Alternatively, even if batteries didn’t get cheaper, if their gravimetric energy densities increased enough, that would increase their range because they would be…
Hi all this talk about doing 100 miles or 180 miles has become a bit of a challenge for the scientist and engineers throughout worlds
universities including the large battery makers such as Johnson Controls the owners of Bosch Batteries ? in my opinion in order for us to help save the planet through less emissions, the Advantages of Electric Cars are very few at the moment, they should be made to sell at a price that we all can afford and not the privileged few . With more of these electric cars on the road we would then see the testing and results for more distance travelled at a faster pace, and towns and cities would be installing more and more charging points, i travel in the UK
extensively and only seen one charging point in Chester UK, the only other ones i have seen are a few in the States and in Paris France.
Also slightly going the subject, does anyone the know the difference that hilly country makes to the distance that electric cars will travel ?. The hills and mountains must make a huge difference in the distance electric cars will travel. I agree with a greener planet but i think that the car part of the equation, is at a too a higher cost at the moment, a better idea would to put solar panels on all roofs even here in the UK, but perhaps this would be too easy ? I have solar panels at it saves me a fortune and creates electricity into the grid, or is it because that if we all had Free Solar Panels ,then there would not be any need for all the electric companies that we have at the moment, the green issue is all about making more money for the large greedy companies. Also to round off ,the Ford motor company has started to experiment with solar panels fitted to their car roofs, that is well worth watching out for.
Hi I would like to introduce myself. I have worked in the Garage and tyre and Battery business now for 40 years. I worked for a couple of national tyre companies before starting my first business. I now own a company here in the UK called Pellon Tyre and Auto-centre, and I am a keen blogger about anything to do with cars and their related products that will help my business.
